Our client Euan, had an old door that had been in the family for years but had never been re-purposed. That’s were we came in, we sanded and re-finished the door with a beautiful Osmo satin finish.
We then set about designing a contemporary leg frame for the table. The hand-made metal fabricated frame was powder-coated a satin black. Two metal straps were fabricated to give the appearance that the metal frame was one complete hoop. The straps fit perfectly into route-red channels in the table top.
Again this piec of furniture looks simple finished but there were a few time consuming details that had to be right in order to give the desired look. Euan was delighted with his new/old styled table, transformed and re-purposed from an old solid timber door.
